Go to a local petstore to get crickets for about $3.00.
If you are going to get a Bearded dragon, you will need a 10 gallon cage to start with. But when they get older you might
need a 40 gallon cage. You will need some places where he can relax and some room for him to run around. He eats romaine lettuce,
kale, zuchini, and other greens. ( no firefly bugs, poisonous to Bearded Dragons). NOTE: Do not feed him anything bigger than
the length of his head. Do not give him sand till he is 6 inches or bigger.
If your Bearded Dragon is upset or stressed his belly and chin will turn blackish.
- 6 signs of a healthy Bearded dragon....... 1.Clear, alert
eyes....... 2.Muscular tail.......3.Sheds regulary during growth......4.Eats and drinks normally.......5.Breathes easily.......6.Well-formed
droppings every 2-3 days.....
5 signs to watch for:1.Runny droppings or has red streaks in droppings for more than 2 days......2.Eating
or drinking less; weight loss......3.Swollen joints......4.Discharge from the eyes, nose, or mouth......5.Shedding problems;
discolered skin.
Give them a shallow dish
of water and shreded greens and about 4 crickets. (Feed twice a day).
If you give your dragon somthing from another lizards cage,
make sure you use bleach and water to get mites off.
